Greg Brown

Greg G. Brown is the Vice President of Land & Corporate Counsel for U.S. Energy Development Corporation. With more than 20 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, Mr. Brown has extensive knowledge in surface and mineral management, including the negotiation of oil and gas leases, farmouts, farmins, participation agreements, production sharing agreements, production allocation agreements, joint operating agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and all manner of surface use agreements. Prior to moving into the oil & gas industry, Mr. Brown engaged in the private practice of law, specializing in contract negotiation, estate planning, and real property transactions and participated in numerous trials and hearings both in court and in chambers.

 

His professional experience involves managing all land aspects of a multi-rig drilling program, including clearing title, proposing wells, and managing working interest partners. He has also negotiated and closed multiple acquisitions, divestitures, farmouts, farmins, acreage trades, and other transactions. Prior to his tenure at U.S. Energy, Mr. Brown gained experience working at Conoco, Inc., J-W Operating Company, and Laredo Petroleum, Inc.

 

Mr. Brown earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Texas and a Juris Doctorate degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law.  He is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and the American Association of Professional Landmen.
